Description
This print features the 8th day of Christmas verse which of course is all about eight maids a milking.
The same as the others in this series it has been printed onto dictionary/encyclopaedia pages which make each print unique
The eight maids in the image are depicted as 8 cows who are on board a milk float which is decorated with Christmas lights.
The cows have the milk crate handles in their mouths and are ready to set out on their deliveries.
“On the eighth day of Christmas,
my true love gave to me
Eight maids a milking,
Seven swans a swimming,
Six geese a laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves
and a partridge in a pear tree”.
This print is the eighth in our series “The 12 Days of Christmas”. It can be used as a single image or part of a groupe of images in the seame theme.
Twelve days of christmas words can be found at the link. Make sure you don’t get stuck this Christmas.
Eight Maids a Milking Unique Prints
These upcycled old lexicons have taken on an ivory tone through the ages which adds character to the images.
No two images will be the same and indeed further interest can be had with the old educational text still being readable through our applied printing.
The prints would look great in many locations around the home or office. This could be the Dining room, Hallway, Lounge/Living area or Bedrooms.
Framing
The page measures 10 and 7/8 inches high x 8 inches wide. You could either trim the top and bottom to fit a 10″ x 8″ frame or just place it into the frame and push the backing in place.
Or if you prefer, you could use a larger frame with a 10″ x 8″ mount.
